My credit union recently approved me for an increased unsecured loan but I really want a credit card while my scores are decent and I have the income to put towards one (if I'm only eligible for secured). Should I wait, if so how long, or am I good to try it now? I care little about rewards and points systems, I just know a credit card helps build credit and I plan on putting my Netflix, internet, and PS membership on it which totals to around $70mo and can easily be paid off monthly.
