30 days message is a good sign and im sure you will get approve for it, call automated app status to check 1-800-436-7927 . GL
Thanks Jimmy. Getting on it
I applied for the ritz card on 4/6 and day one on the automated line got the 2 week message and the next day up to now have been getting the 30 day message. I am keeping,y fingers crossed but this is taking a long time. I would recommend not calling the to talk to them. People say it is best to wait it out and call only if denied.

Thanks for the pointer. I am the most impatient person... but I guess I'll follow your suggestion and wait it out. Let me know if you hear something back.
Will do as soon as I hear I will let you know.
So people say it's best to NOT call...but that wasn't the case for me, so here is what I did.
I applied for the Marriott card as well and got the 30 day message. I was planning a few trips within the next month so I wanted my card ASAP. I called the verification department directly @ 877-470-9042. I told them I was attempting to check the status of my app and it transferred me to that department.
If it's held up for verification, they will text you a code to verify, which means most likely you will be approved.
If not, they will transfer you to the consumer lending team (I was transferred there when I was denied for the freedom card.)
If they say they are transferring you, I would hand up and then wait it out.
Good luck to you!

Thanks for the tip. This sounds like a great idea to self check a possible approval. I am going to try it if I don't hear back in couple of days.

Thank you much. I followed your tips and just got off the call with their verification department. Like you said they texted me a code, read it back to them and got approved for 16K. I would recommend your method to anyone who has lack of patience like me :-)
I just tried this and was told "it was being handled by the ritz Carlton team directly" they wanted to transfer me but when they did I hung up. I wonder if that was lending department or if it was actually someone from ritz. She said they may ask me some security questions but I didn't want to risk it.
