I always add the Buyer's Club membership- have done it about 40-45 times over the past few months and added other merchandise also, no go. Will keep trying!
Do you go through Google Chrome? Just for the fun of it, I went through Google Chrome and added the membership and some shorts, then checked out and entered my information as guest and the pre-approval popped up, but I didn't continue. I just wanted to see if it would work; also I cleared out my browser before I went to SPG. Not trying to get anymore approvals as I want my AAoA to go up.
I waited for almost 2 years to get SCT. I tried over a dozen times for past 2 years.
Ron.
Did you do IE or Firefox?
tried it on Chrome

I closed out the browser after the pop up appeared too, and I was using Firefox.
Three or four days later, they mailed out a pre-approval letter to my house, and I was like, 'you talking to ME'?
The suspense was killing me and I was going to do the app, and then I remembered it would probably be a HP that way.
I went back into the SCT and it came up again and I accepted it.
It was a SP and that was around June 3.
my scores were very close to yours.

I got it last month with a SP.
I try to seduce them with a shopping cart filled with items so that the total is at least over 50. I wanted this Visa with the SCT and I put their Buyers Club membership in the cart and it did work for me.
My scores were about 670 then.

As asb said, the key to the Sportsmans SCT, is first before anything, on the home page of the site is to put the SGuide Membership into your cart, and then check out as a guest. Once you put your address and zip code it should pop up. Make sure to check your EQ report and match up the correct address, that is what comenity checks

As I scrolled down, I see that many here already emphasized putting the membership in cart. sorry to repeat all.
Make sure you use the same address on check out, that is on your Equifax report.
I'm not sure I see the point of trying the SCT if Comenity's new changed policies means that a HP is taken even with the SCT.
