Just took a leap. Applied for the Merrill+ card (no AF, no FTF, perks, gorgeous) (25k point after $2500 bonus) by phone, got the usual 30day msg. They pulled EX. Very curious to see if it works out, gotta learn by trying.

The fact that the decision date shows immediately, with the same day as the app. Any idea whether that's a good/bad thing? (not the only one)

Meriall+ is a nice looking card and good benefit it appears.. Let us know how that turns out.. Would love that card, just a bit scared of BofA and really don't like them, but they do have the Fid Amex and Merill+ card I would desire.

I think Merril and Fidelity get manual review for CL and when you call Monday they will probably already have an approval, but don't be scared to tell them you were expecting more and push for it... you probably get it and that will be same pull!

She checked my file for like 5 to 10 seconds, and then approved me for 5k SL. Tried to get more out of it as you "instructed" me to do, but unsuccesful. I don't need the credit anyway
