I've been trying to get data points for people who have been approved for the Savor card, but it's been hard to pin down and approvals seem random. Can anyone who's applied for this card share your experience? How many cards had you applied for in months prior and new accounts this year? Where you using a current cap 1 card and did you let it leave a balance before applying for the Savor? How many of your other cards carried a balance at the time? Have approvals become more frequent/ easier lately ?
DH really wants this card, but really scared to chance the 3 inquires for nothing.
No prequal for it either.
Here's a link to my recent thread:

**Edit** I was prequalified on their website.
Stats the day I was approved - EQ 720 TU 733 EX 712. I have 2 other cards with them, a QS1 which I've had for.... about 3 years and have grown from my SL of I think $2000 to $6250 (and also just upgraded to a regular Quicksilver), and a Venture that I got in May with a $15k limit. 5 inquiries total on my record in the last 2 years - 3 of them from Cap1 and 1 from Discover in May 2018 and 1 from Amex December 2017. I am about 5 years post bankruptcy which did include a Cap1 card. No collections. The day I applied I had a balance of $1275 onQS1, and about 40% utilization on my Venture.
I have seen on here a person get denied for the Savor with scores over 800. I did read somewhere that it seemed they were targetting people who would carry a balance and therefore make them more money. I read that someowhere on here but can't remember where.
Hope this helps :-)
Thanks guys! I did search the forum but data points are varied for this card, so I'm mainly looking for alternative data points like: How many cards have a balance, what is the utilization on your other cap one card if you have one, do you bank with them, did you have a prequalified offer, AAOA and how many apps and inquiries within the last six months/ year, ect
When I was approved for the Savor card I had just gotten 7 cc and 1 cloc in the last 4 months. Including the 1 cc I previously had, there were only 6 cc reporting and cloc. Of the 7 accounts, 3 were reporting a balance. Total util was 6% and highest individual was 53%(I had missed my statement date on a low limit card). I didn't have any other Cap One cards. And my AAoA was 1 year 3 months with AoOA at 7 and a half years. 2 open auto loans. One previous account with late payments(none within the last years) that is closed. Went to their prequal site and had an offer it.
