Suggestion and Data Points for Applying Bilt credit card

Hi community members,

I am thinking to apply for Wells Fargo Bilt credit card as it seems best fit for my biggest montly expense of rent.

My last credit inquiry within 6 months is from 08/04/2023 from TU, EX, EQ

Number of inquiries in last 1 year: 2

I checked on Wells Fargo site but nothing turned up in pre-approval check. But I see a credit card offer on myFICO portal from Bilt not sure how slid that is.

What do you suggest that I go ahead with my application as I don't see pre-approval or should I wait for recent inquiry to be gone?

Thanks for your input.

You have good scores. One thing I do myself and recommend to everyone is have the CS number handy just in case. Good luck!

Re: Suggestion and Data Points for Applying Bilt credit card

I think you have a shot at the card considering that you have little no to inquiries or many new accts in past 24 months. I also see you have a few cards in the 5000-9000 range. I'm sure WF would take that into consideration if approving you and hopefully, giving you a limit in that range or more. Granted I don't know your AAoA and how long you've had these cards open. If you have a fairly young file, they might be hesitant but I'm not a WF expert so others can chime in on whether they're open to young / thin files.

Regardless, best of luck if you decide to apply.

In my case, I've applied twice and rejected both times because it came during mini sprees. So they seem to like low velocity to get in with them.
