In June I will be applying for 2 credit cards. I know I will be applying for the Barclaycard Ring Mastercard (super low interest good for big purchases) but I want another card. Right now, 3 cards is building up my credit too slowly. I am sitting at 776 according to CK with the 2 reports is uses now (TU, EF). I don't often carry a balance. Which card should I get next?
Things that interest me in a new card: Low interest, No annual fee, average or above customer service, and easy to understand benefits.
My current cards are an Amex (Bluecash Everyday) ($9,100), a texaco gas card ($4500), and a secured cap one (which I personally don't like the company so I will avoid if possible {don't give me an increase past the $550 I have}).
All help is appreciated! Thank you.
I'm not sure if bumping is allowed on these forums but would like some help and or opinions on the aforementioned matter.
Thanks! ![]()
Yeah, I'm definately going to apply for the Ring card but also another card that I havn't chosen yet.
In general, I'm not sure what to look for. I don't travel much so the cards with miles kind of seem not very useful to me as I would need an entire course teaching me the ins-and-outs of travel. For example, I get offered British Airways on Credit Karma but to get the most benefits you'd need to spend $30,000 a year on it...I don't even make that much a year.
Thanks for your opinion Skye12329 . I will look into Chase Sapphire Preferred since you seem to like that one. ![]()
Recently I applied for and received an AARP Visa Signature card. No fee, I honestly don't know about interest rate because I pay off every month, and 2% off of just about everything I can think of. They also offer additional discounts at small local firms. So recommend checking them out. I was surprisingly instantly approved for what to me is a large credit limit.

Does this card have an age restriction or can anyone with appropriate score get it?

I really don't know the answer. I don't recall being asked my age when I applied. Its worth checking into, IMO.

Thanks so much for your input, will definately check it out. I've got 3 months before I do anything so I have plenty of time.
Chase has great cards, good intro offers and good customer service. I have the Freedom and I like it.

That's 2 people saying good things about Chase. I was considering Chase and Discover but not sure which of either would be better. Thanks for your input.
