I'm in the process of rebuilding. I currently have low high 500s-600s scores. I have a few Comenity cards. I can't seem to get any other department store cards due to my recent new accounts and inquiries.
My plan is to start gardening this month. I haven't applied for anything as of the 1st, however I really need a card to a store that has a good selection of kids clothes that I could get approved for easily.
The cards I have now have been useful for me as I've started a new job and needed business attire but none of them have clothes for my little one.
No luck with non-Comenity stores like Kohls, Macys, Target or Old Navy. I have Walmart storecard.
Any suggestions for Comenity cards via sct for kids clothes or any sp non-Comenity cards?
AAre you getting any preapprovals from Cap 1? Maybe if you got in the door with them, then you might qualify for either Kohl's or Justice since Cap 1 does the underwriting for those cards. All of the Comenity cards that sell kids clothes, the clothes are expensive and I couldn't see putting out that kind of money when kids outgrow their clothes quickly. If no luck Cap 1, give it a couple of months, get your scores up to 620-640, then try again.
If you don't have Overstock already you may want to see if you can get that via SCT. Also it would take a HP to get it since it's not available via the SCT but Carson's might be worth getting. If you have had some luck with Comenity you might get approved. It might be a smaller limit but as your scores improve it can grow massively. DGF was able to get it with an app and a HP at 590ish EQ score. Can't go in and get her the multiple CLI's that some of us have been able to get but I think that is score related for some. They have some really great deals and are forever having sales and bonus coupons to stack on top of that.

Try Modell's, it is through comenity and works with the SCT. It is great for kids shoes. I don't have a modell's near me but I just buy online.
How many new accounts have you opened recently? However, the only store that comes to memory is BonTon.

Carson's is one of the stores under the BonTon chain. Think there are five or six in total.
I recently replied to a similar thread. I would recommend Children's Place. They are all over the US and they almost always offer free shipping online. Plus they automatically give you 5% off anything you purchase with the card. Their clothes are good qualify but not super expensive. Their card is managed by Citi. I started with like $700 limit and now I'm at $1500 I think. It took a HP to get the CLI but it was after only 4 months of having the card.
Old Navy Visa is another good one. I just got this card but there are tons of posts in the forum about the benefits of using it to shop at Old Navy. Lots of coupons and discounted/free clothes.
