I recently got a significant score update thanks to paying off my existing credit card balances and getting approved for a 3k limit on the totalfuelrewards mastercard through comneity's shopping cart trick.
EQ: 723, EX: 741, and TU: 728
I wanted to go ahead and fire off some apps before the end of the year (or maybe january?) and wanted some suggestions.
I have 4 inquiries on EQ, 2 on TU, and 5 on EX. In january some of those will expire and bring me to 2 on EQ, 1 on TU, and 2 on EX.
I was thinking of applying for Chase freedom, Amex BCE, and Barclays mastercard. Thoughts/suggestions?
Go for what you want; you'll probably get it.

If you haven't already set an MSD for AMEX, then apply soon. You may also want to apply soon for the Chase Freedom to get the $200 offer. As for Barclays, do you mean the Rewards MC? Why that one?
If you're already looking at Barclays, look no further than the Sallie Mae MasterCard. The Freedom is also a good choice with the nice sign up bonus right now.
for what I've seen here with that info you can get what you want. I would app for the BCE in january as I've seen they do this for backdating purposes.
Unfortunately i don't have an MSD with AMEX yet. If i apply for it in january does it count as 2015 or 2014?
So my current list goes: Amex BCE, Sallie Mae Barclays, and Chase freedom. Is there any particular order you guys recommend in terms of submitting apps?
Also i've heard about applying for Amex Green and then BCE in the same day b/c its easier to get approved for green and they use the same credit check for BCE?

What cards do you have right now? What are you looking to get out of your cards? It sounds like you want cash back, but I wanted to confirm that.
I would apply for Amex Green in late Dec and then hold off on anything else until Jan, so you can take advantage of your HPs falling off. The only point behind Green or BCE, as far as I'm concerned, is getting in with AMEX in the hope that they have a decent card down the line that you want and can backdate.
The utility of Sallie Mae depends on your monthly gas and grocery expenditures. The 5% back caps at $250 for each of those, plus $750 on bookstores, which includes Amazon.
A generic list of useful cashback cards to consider, in the order I would apply for them, and considering what you've mentioned so far:
Dec: (1) Amex Green
Jan:
1) Sallie Mae
2) BCE
3) Ink (5% back on your cellphone, internet, and cable television bills)
4) Freedom
5) AARP (3% back on restaurants and fast food)
6) Capital One Quicksilver (1.5% back on everything, no foreign transaction fee, potentional signup bonus)
7) Citi Double Cash (2% back on everything)
8) Discover IT (Similar to Freedom. I prefer it in Q4 and Freedom for the other 3, but you get a free TU credit score every month)

MSD is the month you apply and year you became a member. If you apply in Dec it will be MSD 12/2014
Jan MSD 01/2014. If you applied for a card and set your MSD in 2014 12/2014 and applied for a second card
in Jan 2015 the second card MSD 01/2014
Thanks for all the info. Just to confirm, HPs only make a significant impact for 6 months right? When i said my HPs were falling off in January i meant that it would be 6 months. I read elsewhere that it takes 2 years and just want to confirm.
All those cards are great suggestions. I definitely am most interested in cash back as i don't need any travel miles or other benefits

Go for the Sallie Mae first before any of the others.
