Synchrony Application Status

Hi all,

 

I applied for the Marvel Mastercard solely for the year-round 3% restaurants cash back. I wasn't approved immediately -- probably because of new accounts. Is there a way to check application status? Anything? In 2017, I can't imagine there isn't an automated line I can call!

Synchrony doesn't have an automated status telephone number.  Get on the phone and call 866-519-644 and speak to a credit analyst.  They can't bite you over the phone Smiley Wink

I append for the Marvel earlier tonight- also got the 7-10 day message. I called (877) 379-8173 and got a credit analyst who reviewed my application while placing me on hold.... she came back after a few minutes and said I was denied! I was shocked. I have 733 TU with 10 inquiries and 100% clean history. I have a banana republic visa with 10k limit and Alwaya pay o time. It must be my 28% utilization that scares them... I think they lost a good customer. Good luck to you!

Wow, 733 TU and denied. Had to be the utilization or another factor. This is basically their premium card so they seem more stringent.
