Synchrony CLI SP/HP Question

Is there any way to tell beforehand whether hitting the button will result in a SP or HP? Trying to help out utilization without opening anything new. I'm most interested in lowes & amazon. 

Verbiage on the CLI form says "You may be asked to provide your annual net income if we do not have your recent information on file. Income is used to determine eligibility for a credit line increase. Subject to credit approval."

Is it just a gamble?  Does it ask for permission if determined HP is necessary?

Amazon and Lowes should be sp though on rare occasions, hp can happen

and there's no defining moment in the process that would indicate either way before proceeding?

Not really, its very rsre to be hp, i once got a hp on Ex for Amazon but that was a weird experience thus i always caution people. Just hit the luv button you should be ok.

Just last week I had a 3X CLI on my Paypal 2% MC and I haven't seen a HP yet.

weeeeelp hopefully no HP ensues because DH has no CLIs to show for it. I suppose it was worth a shot
