Hello All. I was thinking of adding maybe one more Synch. card in hopes of getting the Visa or MC version while waitng for my TU score to go (back) up. Considering TJ Maxx, Old Navy, or American Eagle (not interested in Stash or Marvel). My question is: If I apply for any of these in store, are the Visa/ MC odds any better as opposed to app-ing online? Any input appreciated.

I will restate what you are asking:
"If I apply for any of these in store, are the [various data points and records on my credit reports] any better as opposed to app-ing online?"
90% of the time, there are no outside factors that will improve your approval possibility simply by sending the app in via a store, as opposed to somewhere else. Applications are processed and/or reviewed with the data contained on whichever credit report(s) are pulled for that application. Your reports do not show different things when the store sends the application in for you, versus you sending it in yourself.
The main exception to this would be a borderline denial with a bank with which you have an existing positive relationship with, years of established responsible history, etc.since sometimes a banker has a few options for convincing an underwriting department to reverse a denial.

Usually doesn't make any difference!
Synch is all about TU score! and it depends on which card too. Stash and Ebates will be a little different I think than say, Toys R US mc.
FYI...I got all my majors with them with a 717 TU. I think 700+, your chances are good!...680-690...50/50 shot.
oh, and the only ones I applied for in store were Gap Visa, and Banana Rep Visa...all the others were online, and instant approvals.
The only bonus to apping in the store is if there is a verification issue, you might be able to deal with it immediately instead of waiting for the 7-10 day letter

I wouldn't think so, Synchrony is all about TU score... I got Ebates 25K, Stash 25K, Marvel 15K, Chevron 10K, and a few others with 733 TU, Also got the lowest APR on marvel 15.xx.

They pulled my EX for Marvel - and gave me the highest 25.xx APR and a useless 1500 SL, with EX being around 760 at the time.
Yeah---right now my TU is only about 671--but that's the highest it's been in 2 years since I had a collection from Verizon (paid) hit my reports back in August 2014. I'm gonna hold of on Synch for a little while until TU gets closer to 690 or 700 where it used to be---and then app for the elusive EBATES!
