I was approved for the Synchrony Premier World Mastercard about a week ago with a SL of $7800.
Does anyone know the odds of being approved for a CLI pretty much right away? I know some Synch cards you can right after you activate the card, others it's a 4 month wait. I did this with my Lowes a few years ago, had SL of 5k and requested it raised to 15k right after activating.
The $7800 is fine, but I plan on doing a BT and don't want to use the majority of the limit as I know that can freak Synch out. But also wary of poking the Synch bear since I have multiple accounts with them with decent limits.
I haven't been able to find many DPs about this card in general so hoping someone may be able to chime in.
You may want to rethink using Synchrony for a balance transfer card. They are known to reduce credit limits because a card holders balance amount to the credit limit is too high.
That's why I wanted the CLI so I wouldn't be using as much of my limit. Need to transfer over about 6k.
I've had this card for almost 4 years, received 3 auto cli's but never requested one. Best recall is each CLI was within 8 to 13 months, F9 scores ~740, aggregate UT <20%, regular usage & balances carried during prior 3 to 5 months on other Synchony cards b4 the cli's. From what I've read on the forums it seems Sync might have an internal limit across all cards based on individual profiles. If you don't have high UT on other Synchrony cards then I see no harm in calling to request a CLI sufficient for your concerns on the new card. If granted then maybe don't app any new Synchrony cards until you feel comfortable..
