If you give me a good answer, I'll tell you why I think I got shut down ![]()

No, it doesn't.
But that's a good and correct answer. So why'd you get shut down?
NFCU OG Flagship (Daily Driver) | USAA Rewards (1999 Hooptie)
AmEx BCP (Groceries) | Aven Rewards (Groceries) | Chase Prime (Amazon) | Citi Custom Cash (Dining) | Elan MCP (Utilities)
EX(F8) 780 | EQ(F8) 802 | TU(F8) 796 | EQ(BC8) 810 | EX(10T) 782
Maybe you should report it lost and ask for a replacement.
But that's a good and correct answer.
I'll be the judge of that ![]()
It's a great story too, I tell you what!

- 2 months ago my Venmo Visa got shut down. It was in good standing and paid in full.
- At the time of the shutdown, Synchrony told me that I could reapply.
- But my Venmo Visa still shows up in the Venmo app, and that seemingly blocks me from reapplying.
- Today, Synchrony CSR said that I could reapply in 6 to 12 months because it still shows on their end that I have an active Venmo Visa.
- They said that in 6 to 12 months, that "active card" would go away, and my card should also disappear from the Venmo app. And that should allow me to reapply. Does that sound right?

No, it doesn't sound right. Who would go back to Synchrony? Sounds sadistic.

It sounds so wrong that I'm I'm not even sure you have your own story straight, to be honest.

You and me both!! So what do you think is the real answer?

It's entirely accurate. Once a Synchrony account has been closed, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, you cannot reapply for the same product for 12 months from the date of closure. Any attempt to apply before then will be met with a rejection.
It also has the effect of keeping people from churning SUBs and 0% offers constantly.
So, it's just a sync thing. That's believable.
Thanks! Now that you said that, I see someone else saying that a long time ago: https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Account-closed-due-to-Inactivity-Synchrony/td-p/431948...
Doesn't mean it's true, but it means I find it CREDIBLE ENOUGH TO TELL YOU THE STORY!!!!
Okay so here's how I got shut down:
So I think they either didn't like Square, or they didn't like the one-time payments, or they didn't like the 2 cards in a row.
