my store card has a 4k limit and I use it once a week only for gas because the 5 cent discount at pump is better than thr 1.5% cash bavk with my QS1, based in current gas prices.

I would take it and get your foot in the door. I got the card on a preapproval by mail last June with a $600 limit and have a $3000 limit now. Use it here and there, get your cli's and it will help utilization.

I agree with Swampy99 . . .

I started with a $400 Walmart Discover in 2013 and now as of today, I have the Walmart Mastercard with a 25k limit. Walmart switched from Discover to Mastercard as Ron stated in an earlier post. Good Luck!

I applied in Sept 2014 and was approved for the store card and NOT the mastercard, however when I go to the checkout the cashier always asks me is I want cash back.... and now i see ANNIPOO saying he/she uses it at the pump and its only a store card?!?!?!

im confused, is it a store card or credit card ? My card does NOT have the MC logo like others ive seen. 

If its just the store card, will it eventually turn into a MC or is that a totally separate card from the store card?

A Walmart store card can be used at Walmart gas pumps. You have to be offered the MC upgrade and its a new TL if you accept it with the store card being closed.

Mine is just the store card. No Mastercard or Discover logo. Gives you a 5 cent discount on gas at the walmart gas stations.

Both Store card AND MC get the 0% offers all year round. Can get gas at Walmart and SAMs ....

I like mine. I have only used it for gas so far, since I don't get rewards on the card. But I started with a $600 limit and used chat to recon that to $4,000 just a few days later.

I see a few people mentioning chat to recon. However I'm not sure where you are finding the chat link? Can anyone point me in that direction?
