Yeah, that's definitely a change from the usual experience.
If one hasn't recently tried the button (or regular CSR) it shouldn't be an issue with Credit Solutions in any case.
Glad this thread popped up -- I was at $10,000 with Amazon (instant CLI approval a few months ago as TU went up to 710) and now my TU is 765 so I figure I should probably call the overseas number and ask for $25K because I am about to toss a $6000 purchase on the Amazon store card and want to maximize interest-free float before the next due date without denting my score leading up to my Amex 3X CLI date.
My Amazon store card was stuck at $400 when I was below 700 TU FICO 8 -- once I broke 700 it rapidly went up to $5000 then $6000 then $10,000. Now I'm at 765 will be nice to see if they give me $25K on request.
My own Amazon card started at $800 in November '16. The first CLI request I ever tried was in March of last year, and I got turned down both on the luv button and CS call since my TU was somewhere around 630 and, as it turned out later, I found out that you need to be 650 or over for Sync to even consider a CLI request from your SL. I finally got CLI'ed to $3500 in early November '17 once my TU went up to around 660, and was CLI'ed again in March when I was paying everything off and my TU went up past 670. So from what I see in this thread, I'm not likely to get another CLI on that card until I get up to 700 or over on TU. Walmart is currently at $4K (got to $3500 at the same time as Amazon last fall, but only got a $500 CLI in March). The joker in the deck is Care Credit, which went from $4K to a whopping $15K in March; I certainly don't think I'll need another CLI on that card for quite a while!!

When I called in. Guy told me he seen I just got denied online. Wouldn't process a new request.
That has never happened to me in the past.
Oh well. Guess I'll wait to I'm at least 720+
Wow! I haven't heard of that, either. So sorry this happened. Synchrony can be troublesome, though. Probably a good idea just to wait it out. Good luck to you in the future.
