Wow... they wanted to do a HP? Did you ask them if this was a new policy or something?
No, unfortunately I'm quite impatient and when I get the feeling someone doesn't want to be talking with me I tend to cut the conversation short. Definately was clear that it was a hard pull and he seemed rushed as if doing a hard pull was this quick and risk-free thing he could either do quickly or get me off the phone with.

Is this for real? I didn't know that this happened. I wonder if that's why I got denied a CLI after 8 mos. I'll still try again when I'm at 12 mos. but if I don't get one I will be very sad.
Yeah, Thats just my household experience with it though, which seems to have occured steady since the transfer from GE to Synch. I First noticed it in Sept when it was time for the Chevron to CLI. Between us, we have 8 Ge/Synch Accounts of different degree. Good thing we got my husbands Care Credit card CLI before all that took place. The last CLI I asked for was on my husbands Walmart MC, right before Xmas. Denied with the same message everyone else gets. Our lines are decent but they arent sky high and our use of available credit is very low.
I have seen others here on the board go right on getting their GE/Synch increases but whos to say what the pick and choose method is. Im just glad they are not our only issuer and we didnt build our whole profile around them, though they are important in the mix of cards because of the different catagories of cards they offer they certainly arent the only game in town. Comenity is just as good with just as good a list as anyone for started cards and cards which can provide a good mix and does not charge a hard pull for their small but steady CLI process.
It is disappointing though.

It's extremeley disappointing for me since it's 1 of my 3 cards (for now) and the first is a useless secure cap1 card. So now I have 2 credit card potatoes and 1 usuable card. Way to go Synch!

I think I may call Credit Solutions regarding increases. Will report back if I do and with what they say.
Like usual, thank you for your help. More Kudos for you!

Oh my, it makes me sad to hear the down news for the ones of you who haven't received help, etc... from Synchrony. I haven't pursued a CLI with Amazon, but for the few times when I tried with Walmart, immediately after that message popped up, I called either of these: 877-294-7880 or 877-379-8173 and spoke with representatives who were nice and friendly. The CLI was a soft pull, they never did hard pulls. Did you all try one of the numbers that I just listed?
I think our particular situation is different since our cards were GE and now are Synchrony. The Texaco Chevron MC has it's own customer service number.

Hey , I'm a long time lurker here , I have record amazing advice from many of you with out you knowing lol . But I recently have been frustrated with my synchrony accounts since the name ge left . My last cli with Walmart was last fall . I had been stuck ever since . So reading around I found this and found some numbers through this thread . The number I called was (800) 480-0205 . It was a very matter of fact guy that finally answered and he was very biz like but in 3 short mins I went from $1100 to drum roll $4000 . This is oddly my highest credit line now hopefully other cards will take note lol .So I wanted to share that with anyone else frustrated as I feel I have gotten so much from so many of you . Now if I could find a number like that for pay pal smart connect and jcp .
Congrats on you CLI and welcome to the forum! As for PayPal smart connect, I think I read before that you just need to call the number on the back of the card; and as for JCP I'm not sure, but I believe they are Synchrony so it should be just like any of their other cards.
