Synchrony after Blue Envelope

Has anyone apped for any Syncb cards other than the ones they manually closed many months ago after not sending in Blue Envelopes? Just curious if they let them slide or lock those too.

Re: Synchrony after Blue Envelope

Im sure some has.......

Bigger questions.....why do you want to reopen with a company that shut you down? And how to avoid in future to not get same result?

Re: Synchrony after Blue Envelope

I have seen posts from others successfully opening new Synchrony accounts post blue envelope.

As for why, Synchrony backs at least 100 cards, many for some of the most popular retailers in the country. Lots of reasons someone may want or need one. The worst they can do is close it, it isn't the end of the world.

Trust me, I had the exact same response. Her reason is perfectly good, though entertaining that would be leading the purpose of the thread astray.

Re: ********* after Blue Envelope

I recently got a blue envelope from Synchrony.  Had my year end cash back check from Sam's Club.  Took it to my bank but I was told it was made out to Sam's Club so I had to go to Sam's to cash it.  Life's been exactly the same after the blue envelope.

Exactly. My BF fell victim to the Synchrony blue envelope last year. He submitted the form  (4506 I believe it's called). They came back saying they couldn't verify the information so they closed all of his accounts. He's been mourning over his Ebates, Marvel and BP cards ever since. These were great cards for him and they tied in very well with his everyday spend.

He's considering applying for one or two of these cards again.
