This was for a CLI on the Marvel card. I did call for the CLi so didn't know about the chat limit.
I haven't got to that level yet but $25K seems to be the number when a lot of credit card companies require proof of income.

Actually, Synchrony is the only card issuer I've ever had request proof of income, even when going considerably over $25k...
Amex, BOA, and Discover all bumped up into the $30/$40k range without any doc request.
But I finally opened an Amazon Prime card a few months ago, and it only started at $1,900... it got raised to $6,000 instantly online - but when I chatted and asked for $30k, they required docs. (And a followup phone call.)
Which I sent, no issue with doing that. And they granted the $30k the next day.
But what you may find interesting is that after the request, but before they processed the fax and raised the limit to $30k - they did briefly raise the limit from $6k to $10k... so the chat agents being limited to $10k is certainly possible.
