Hi all, I am a longtime lurker, and finally created a new acct! Anyhow, I recently was denied an Ashley Furniture card because I have an unsatisfactory hist with Synchrony Bank. I have/had a Care Credit which was closed by them because I made late pmts in the past. I switched bank accounts, and my autodraft was not deducted on time. It never went to my credit report, just internally at the bank I assume. My overall credit is pretty okay though (Trans says it's a 720). The overall balance left on the Care Credit is about 2k, and I am paying on it. Any tips with Synchrony, or should I just call it a loss? I really want a bedroom set from them. Thanks

Overstock carries Ashley Signature, serviced by Comenity Bank. Ikea is also serviced by Comenity. So if you want to try your hand at Comenity, they are pretty darned generous with cli's out the gate. Meaning, if you're sl is low, some have been successful in getting a sizeable cli when the card arrives and you create your online acct. Then ask for more via "request more" button.
