I live in Texas and they pulled EX for me. Don't know why, just that it did it. Did the same for Lowes too.
what part of TX? when did you apply for Discover? It will be really good to know.? i would freeze TU once i have enough inquiries. What was your score at application?
Northwest. Two months ago. EQ 633, TU 660, EX 659
I m exactly where you are on FICO scores with TU/EX/EQ but i m in southeast tx.
I will take one inquiry for Discover and check it out today.
lets see what happenz
Discover turned me down for the It card, but approved me for the secured It, which I took. I have Walmart @ $2500, Amazon@ $2500, and Lowes @$2500. Apple Rewards SL @ $2000. Synchrony has been nice to me since I'm rebuilding. I was able to qualify for ED, but it was an EX pull however. I only have 5 Inqs on TU, but more on the other, so I'm like the OP. I have enough cards to rebuild, so I'm happy for a year and at that time, I hope to be ready to apply for Sallie Mae.
i can confirm that i m in southeast texas and i applied for Discover It card today and because i had a freeze on my EQ i withdrew my Discover It application.
The sweet lady confirmed at 3 times with her supervisor when suggested to use a different bureau like TU and the requirement was that i unfreeze my EQ to be considered for the application.
I am also told that an inquiry will not be posted on my CR for this application. They will send me the reason for denial stating per our conversation, that i was unwilling to UNFREEZE my EQ . I got a Delaware Discover it call center? 800-347-xxxx
Should i call at a different time of the day to see what i can get?
Status check with discover says DENIED.

That's the great thing about the deep freeze, no Inquiries.
Of course, frozen EQ most likely means no Discover card.
Same with frozen EX, no AMEX, Citibank and probably no Chase.
No inquiries either
Since I'm new to rebuilding, I was trying to get the 3 credit cards, so since I have a Cap 1 secured, I tried Discover but only qualified for the secured. Heard about Apple Rewards on the forum, so applied and was approved. Got brave and tried for Rewards, but denied. Thought what the heck and tried ED and approved. Only $1000, but foot in the door. Accepted secure Discover because I needed the tradeline. At this point, I can't be to picky and Credit One scares me.
That aso confirms which bureau is used for your region in TX? its nice to know ahead what bureau will get the inquiry so you r prepared?
its vital i think
Good luck on your journey.
