Target Redcard CLI Point of Reference

So I was approved for a Target Redcard $300 SL the first week of September. After going through multiple threads on here I've come to realize CLI with them are pretty hard to come by.

I updated my income information today to include my fiancée's as are the guidelines most card issuers give when giving income info especially because we bank together and live together.

So I'm setting up this thread as a point of reference for when I get my CLI with them, how much my CLI is, questions they have of you have as well. I'm guessing at the 3-5 month mark I'll get one (probably just to $500 from my SL of $300 but it's better than nothing, we'll see!

Don't have the card but all the best in your quest for a CLI.  I read they are stingy but you never know. Enjoy the card.

Re: Target Redcard CLI Point of Reference

Good luck! I just got approved for the card last month with a sl of $500. I'm hoping they'll show me a bit of love for the upcoming holiday season.

Re: Target Redcard CLI Point of Reference

I read they want balances to report for CLI. That leaves me OUT LOL.

Yes I have heard several members say they never got a CLI until they almost maxed out card and let a balance report .

Re: Target Redcard CLI Point of Reference

They actually made me report a balance Smiley Sad what I do every time is make a purchase then PIF at the customer service desk.

But I did this last month and even though I paid in full with cash it took them 2 days to process it (even though the purchase was processed that same day) Smh because it caused me to report 33% UT opposed to 0%. I don't see why if you make the purchase that day and PIF that day it can't all be processed together. Similar thing happened with Kohl's.

Re: Target Redcard CLI Point of Reference

Pay your target Bill like you have never heard of myfico, that is when it is due. Report 4 or more months out of the year. Mine didn't wake up until I started using it again. Every other month or so theyve a decent deal on TP, TIDE, pet food, sometimes all at once with $5 gift cards included. Roll those into the next purchase.

Re: Target Redcard CLI Point of Reference

I let my other card report I prefer not to let Target or Kohl'a run a balance just in case because they have 25% APR Smiley Sad

Re: Target Redcard CLI Point of Reference

I was approved in June for $300 card.  It was increased on yesterday's statement (4th).  I let 10%-33% utilization post each month.  On this statement, my limit is $800 with $704 available.
