If I knew for sure what kind of SL I would receive, I would definitely jump on it. I just don't like unknowns on a store card. I wonder what the minimum is since their beds get way up in prices. Mine said minimum purchase of 4500.

I dropped an $8k bed and frame into the cart and they initally gave me $5,500 SL. I opened my account online and requested a CLI and got an instant +$750 so not a bad day -- now at actual SL of $6,250.00. I'll gladly take that to pump my Util. %.

GO FOR IT! Man Wink

I may... decisions, decisions. I actually planned on apping for the QS Visa this weekend once one of my cards report a $0 balance that was at 64%... ouch. Once I app for that, I may do it. I could app now but knowing my luck, it would be a hard pull. Lol. I also added way too many accounts this past year when I started building so my AAOA took a huge hit and so did my scores. I've been gardening now for a couple of months. Congrats though on your approval... that is amazing! I'll keep you posted if I decide to do it!

Peer pressure! Smiley Tongue And Nixon, no way am I buying a mattress this expensive... I'm frugal! Smiley Happy It would be more of a UTIL buffer but again, I'm not doing it tonight. I can't make decisions like that super fast. I must sleep on it... no pun intended (Serta). I'll probably pass it up anyways... I'm kinda over store cards. I need more bank cards in my line up.

Won't work worth a s....flip.. unless you actually do some activity on the card. Remember that it won't drown out the sky high utilization on your other cards individually.

See... that's what I needed to hear! I forget Comenity doesn't report without use! You just saved me from this card! Thank you! And yeah, I know! My utilization has always been under 30% total but I recently paid off most of my cards thanks to your advice and not carrying balances on several cards. The above 64% Utilization bring reported was on a card with a $500 limit and I accidentally let it report that way. I paid it off 2 days after reporting. :/

Which card was that? Can you call them and ask for mid cycle reporting?

Re: Testing out some more random comenity SCT offers

It was Capital One and I did... it was a big negative. The good thing is is that my new statement closes tonight so it should update the $0 balance in a couple of days. My scores are on the rise since all but 2 of my cards that I paid off have reported $0 balances. The only card I have now that is reporting high utilization is my Lowes card. It's at 59% (riding lawn mower and stainless steel range) but I'm making a huge payment on that one tomorrow. I've tried for a CLI and it was a no go. I will try again in a few weeks.

That's not true regarding Comenity not reporting without use.

I have 2 small Comenity cards from 2 years ago - Linen Source and Express -- NEVER ever used the card and never asked for a CLI. Both have reported for the past 24 months as positive.
