Re: The BarclayCard CLI Soft Pull thread

mowglidude ;

After the APR reduction, did Barclays offer a SP increase, or did you ask for it?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the threads I've been reading the past couple of months, Barclay no longer does SP CLI. Always a decline even via the "lowering apr" route. They however have been really proactive as of late doing the SP CLD! Smiley Happy

Re: The BarclayCard CLI Soft Pull thread

I will add some data points, and hopefully they will be useful and possibly encouraging.

Approved 10/2015, $2000(first or 2nd card of my rebuild).

Ive tried the lower APR route at least 2-3 times prior to the most recent, possibly getting a reduction once or twice, but no CLI.

On 6/9/2017, I called in and asked for an APR reduction, and got one of 4%.   To answer Mowglidude, they then offered the CLI without me having to ask. (I was pleased to see I had actually written that down in the credit log file I started to keep that night).  They did ask income at this point.

Now the increase was a rather paltry $1000, but coming from a paltry $2000 for a total of $3000, I suppose it's ok(from other things Ive read and my own feeling, I think my next one could be substantially more).  It also shows that as recently as 6/9/2017, the SP CLIs were still in effect, without as much as even having to ask for one.   I hope someone finds this useful.
