9/5. Day early
CSR told me I was aday early also. Said to try back today. Got same 7-10 day message. Calling back now to close account. See if they will recon. If not I don't need them.
They are going to manually review and said will have a status by Tuesday. We will see by Tueday if I decide to keep or dump.
I've read this excellent thread. My 61 days is coming soon to request a CLI on my BC. I requested and got a CLI increase on my Fidelity Amex like 1 month ago. Since this card never appeared on my Amex profile and it's managed now or soon by BofA, I guess this will not require the 180-days wait, right? Can someone else confirm this?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. This thread is for Centurion Bank issued Amex cc's only. Cards issued by FIA, BoA, FNBO, etc have their own CLI policy.

Thank you for confirming that. That's what I thought. I will go ahead with 3xCLI with my BC.

Congratz! I don't think the general public is aware oh how fast you can increase your CL with AMEX if you play the cards right. I recently gotten an increase to $24,900 from an initial $8300 myself. I would've never asked for such a large increase had I not known of this forum.

Thanks Dalanar. Congratulations on your increase as well! The concept of customer initiated CLIs is a fairly new concept to me. I've learned a lot about credit since obtaining this Amex account in May of last year.

I was not so lucky. I was told my BK from 9 years ago was part of the decision. Well I will still have same issue a year from now and these inquiries and BK were apart of the approval process two months ago. Congrats to all the people who were able to get big CLI's. I went ahead and closed my account. Now at least I will never have to fear a FR with AMEX.

Okay...somebody help me out here...My 61st day was actually yesterday but I waited until today to make sure. I went online and submitted my request and got the 7-10 day message. My last SP on Experian was on 8/29 and my usage at that time was the above. I chatted into customer service and they said it showed I had been declined but didn't show reasons would have to wait for letter or call into CS so I called in. The rep on the phone said they didn't even show where I had requested a CLI so they went ahead and redone it over the phone with the same result 7-10 days letter by mail. My score when I got the card was 708 and now it is 698 due to the 3 new accounts and the HP's that came with them, but that doesn't seem to be that great of a difference? The new accounts all have $0 balances on them too, but I do have 2 older cards with a little less than 1% on each of them so total util is still a little bit less than 2%. What the heck?!?!?! Is there anything I can do??
