I decided to take a leap of faith today and ask for a credit increase on my BCE.
I originally got my card in Feb of 2013 with a $2K limit. I did the 61 day increase and moved up to $6K. My next request was for $18K but I was only approved for $9,800. I can't remember how much I then asked for but I was again approved for $11,000 on the next go round. Today I decided to ask for $20K and it was instantly approved.
So very excited about this. This card now has my highest limit.
Greetings,
In December 2011, I was approved for the Costco True Earnings card (backdated to 2005) with a limit of $6,600. I was denied for every CLI request on this card and my Hilton HHonors card since being approved.
Yesterday, while waiting at the dentist, I requested a CLI by phone (all previous requests were made online). I was approved for an increase to $18,000. I was very surprised and excited. This limit exceeds 40% of my reported income. Now, I can go to the garden with a smile.

This has taken literally a year since I've gotten my card. I tried every 90 days after each denial. This time, their last SP was far more recent than at other times, showing good activity and score in my rebuild. It's not as much as others but, it shows me that my AMEX relationship is growing. $9K attempt will occur on 5/15/2015!
Yesterday I tried for an increase on my SimplyCash Business card. I tried to request to go from $3k to $9k and got a 7 to 10 day message.
This morning i got an email with a link to view my decision and it was the following......
"Your income is insufficient for any additional credit cards or credit limit increases due to the amount of existing accounts open with American Express."
I guess since i listed my income as $13,960 from my regular job, since I'm not earning a ton from my side venture, my annual revenue i put $35,000.
So i'm guessing i just need to earn more money, there's just no way around that...... no recons for this?
I have my next CLI request soon and am at a crossroads. Currently sitting at 22.2K on my BCP. 80K reportable income.. Not sure what I should request...
II just requested my 61 day CLI and recieved the same message but my account instantly reflected the increase I asked for. You can also check the status online, they sent a meesegeto email about my other Amex with a link to my status.
Hope this helps
I contacted Amex via live chat asked when my last incresae was, it was over 6 months, and made the request ....I went from 4200 to 12600!!!! Awesome
I got an unrequested increase from 5100 to 7200 today. Im kind of pissed because i was comptemplating asking for 15k next month when i was due for my next CLI increase. Now i have to wait an extra 6 months. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

You can recon stating that you want to include your income from other sources as well. My wife had same problem last month. SHe called and asked them to take mine and her combined income into consideration and she was approved the asked CL next day.
