I got my card, and I tried the 3x CLI yesterday, about a day after activation and use. I was approved for 10K, I put in for $24K and got the 7-10 day message.....so I guess we will see what happens.

Got my AMEX BCE first 3xCLI on Jan,5,2015
My next 3xCLI would be on July 8th.
Meanwhile got my new Amex ED approved on May 26,2015. Got my new card arrived June 1,2015. Tried for CLI after activation. Huh bummer. 7-10 days message and later got email CLI denied. Checked with CSR and being told " Credit limit increased in last 6 months"
Now question to all.
Do i need to wait for another 90 days from June,1,2015 to ask for next 3xCLI from last denial date? or 181th day from last sucessful CLI date?
If 7/8 is your 181st day, you should be eligible to request on either BCE or ED on that day.
Thank you. I m planning to pull the trigger on July-10 on ED card. since i had BT of 2.5k on that already.
Victorious! Got my Hilton Honors Amex Card 4/29 - SL $4000. First Amex since 1989. Since people were saying that you didn't have to wait 61 days, I just pulled the trigger for 3x CLI. Requested $12,000 got $12,00! Love seeing "your new amount will be available in 15 minutes!
Thanks to everyone for sharing!

Got approved for Amex ED With 2k. Waiting for the card now. should I go for a 3x CLI upon activation?Congrats on the approval. The 3x CLI is no longer set in stone. You can request that once your card gets activated but you may be asked for tax returns or income verification if they feel they need proof..
It will all depend on your credit profile...
I have never heard of people needing to submit proof unless they are over 25K limit or over $34.5k across multiple amex cards. Where did you see this?
also, I just requested 3x cli on the 16th. Got the 7-10 day message. Was not that worried as other folks have still gotten it. Should I try chatting online and see what they say?
UPDATE: So I called in to 800-576-8942 from the recon list as this was listed as the new account/CLI number to dial. First time they hung up on me. second time they said, normally if you are getting a counter offer the system will say. But my request was just declined. BUT!
She said that is still not a final decision and they may decide to do it anyway. Um...OK! lol Why would they say that!
So now that I have gone from $10K in Jan to $25K today, what's next? Do I have any hope of going higher? 3x's next try would take me to $75K and that doesn't seem feasible to me. Thinking at some point that Amex would stop at some pre-determined number like say $30K or so. Anyone know a max for the BCE? Hearing $100K max for BCE exists. that might be awhile away for me, but was thinking by end of this year, December, would ask for more, more like $45K, but fearing the dreaded FR just because it is a pain in the ass. Any thoughts?
I have a balance that I intend to pay prior to the due date. Love interest free loans. Just received the card last month with 2,500. Should I pay $1200 (1800 Balance) and then try or pay in full and try? I run the balance for the bonus offer.
No other AMex Cards. CRA showing average 14% usage on accounts as I have to get use to all the new dates.
Just activated my ED.. did the 3x cli request immediately after and got the 7-10 day message. Whats should i do next? Is it possible i'll receive my 3x?

It's possible that it still will be approved. Not much you can except to wait for the decision. Good luck.
