For Example.
I was approved for 2.5k almost a year ago. I got an increase at activation to $7.5k.
After 181 days I requested an increase for 3x and they countered to $19.3k.
Im almost at another 181 day mark. Should I request to $24.9k??? Its a 0% card so Ive been carrying a small balance of about $1k since Dec. Paying $100 every 2 weeks.
Ideas? My CS has gone up since I got the card. Its around 770 now.
Request $40K and then drop it down if they ask for the 4506-T, Lots of people are getting approved for amounts over $25K without providing income verification. That number really isnt applicalble any longer.
Agree - ask $40K.
ps. I started from $30K and Amex didn't get me a chance to drop it down.

So if I ask for $40k what happens? They either approve or ask for docs? If they ask for docs how do I ask for a counter offer? Confused
If they ask for the 4506-T and you don't want to go that route, you can just cancel the application and then make another equest for a lower amount.
I just tried for an increase on my Everyday Card, i asked to go from $2k to $4k and i got a message about being notified in 7 to 10 days........
Then i instantly got an email from Amex asking to call.....

Any thoughts? I haven't seen this message before..... do they maybe have a counter offer to take my limit to $3k or do they just need to make sure its me asking for the increase? I tried to call but their closed and i even called regular customer service and they couldn't help me, so i will try back tomorrow if i can, but any idea why i got this email saying they need to speak with me?
Just wanted to report another success - went from $16K to $27K and got an instant approval! Should have asked for more. This is not my highest credit limit card.

This is not my highest credit limit card.
Congrats! I've only had my card for one billing cycle. In your experience, Are they hard to get increases from? Any tricks I should know about?
Hello Everyone,
I have called the CSR and backdoor credit department and both are telling me its a HP for CLI. I have had my Everyday card for 9 months and would like to apply but not if its a HP.
Did something change?
Thanks
