IIRC it was sufficient CL based on other outstanding debt obligations
Interesting then that you didn't have to wait the 91 days. I have no explanation. Maybe it slipped thru the cracks.
I was due for my 180 day CLI so I gave it a shot today.
Old CL: 12,400
Requested: 20,000
New CL: 14,400
not exactly what I wanted but I'll take it!
Two weeks ago or so I got my SPG card in the mail and immediately tried to get a CLI. Since the limit was already high ($15,000), I didn't really want to go for the full 3x. So I asked for $25,000. I received a notice asking me to call in (which I didn't do, I just assumed it was a denial and they were trying to be nice to a new cardholder). I received a letter in the mail and it said American Express was unable to approve the request for a credit limit increase and only gave one reason: "Your account must be open for at least 60 days."
I would say that the 60-day requirement is back.
For data, I also have a PRG that's been open since October.
Based on what I've read in this thread, and correct me if I'm wrong, please, I can request again after 60 days of account opening rather than 90 days after my CLI request?
Today was my 61st day and I was denied for being too new according to the Live Chat, but he suggested I call in tomorrow as that's the only reason he saw for denial. Or to reapply online in 3 days.
I got my second Amex card (Amex everyday) two weeks after getting approved for my first amex card (BCE). So can I apply for the 3x cli on my first card and after two weeks do the same for my second card?

No, the rules for when you can apply for a CLI are across all of your cards. If you get a CLI you have to wait 181 days before being able to get another CLI on any of your cards, If you are denied, then you have to wait 91 days before being able to try on any card. This is true regardless of whether you have 1 Amex card or 5

Yeah, it does appear as if the 61 day rule is back. If you try before that and are denied, it does not reset the clock so you can try when your account hits 61 days and you don't have to wait the 91 days. The 91 days applies for denials when you are actually eligible for a credit limit increase. In your case, technically you weren't eligible and therefore don't have to wait the 91 days.
I SEEN HERE ON MYFICO THAT AMX ONLY REPORTS THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF CREDIT YOUR HAVE EVER USED DURING ONE MONTH!!!!! Is that still true???? I have the every day blue card and was approved for $7,000.00. What does it matter what credit limit is if they don't report it??
