Thanks! It seems like if you start out with a $1,000 SL like I did, you have to have some patience with AmEx but they will grow nicely for you as your scores and history with them improves. The first couple times I asked for an increase I was denied. But my history with them has been great in terms of always on time and always PIF.
So I just asked for a $20,000 credit limit (after first confirming with an AmEx rep that it has been 180 days since my last initiated credit request) and it was approved! I was a little conservative with the request, I suppose, since I was already at $12,000. I sort of regret not asking for $25 or 30k but hell, I'm never gonna need anywhere near this much credit anyway. This is awesome.

Income - $35,000
account was opened June 16
FICO8 EX is 710.
Wow, those are great data points (mostly because I'm also FICO8 710 EX, lol).
Very nice, Pedro1! Congrats!
I haven't asked for CLI since last Feb. , so decided to try. I've had mine for 3 years I believe. Currently at $16,000 and asked to be increased to $34,000. Got the dreaded 7-10 days message. Ah, well. Didn't need it---just wanted it!

Amex just showed some love my way. I opened my first Amex credit card back in May 2017 and was given a SL of 2000.00. I tried a few times for the 3x Credit line increase back after 91 days and then again a month ago. I was denied each time. Low and behold a few weeks ago I got an email from Amex saying that they had auto increased my CL to 6000. I was feeling a little adventurous after reading that email so I logged in to the website and requested that my credit line be 18000. They instantly approved it.🙂 in one day my credit line went from 2k to 18k. I had applied and was approved for a second Amex card back on the same day as my first card with the same 2k SL. In six months I may try to increase the CL on it and then eventually move the line over to one card. One is a BCE and the other a ED.
Great story!
Can you share your EX FICO08 over the entire time for data points?
I got a $2000 BCP November 2, 2017 so my 61 day 3X CLI request is January 2, 2017 -- hoping for a 3X right away but looks like they made you wait 6 months for the auto CLI and gave you the double dip. I'm OK waiting until May with the same hopes since I only use the card for groceries (6%) and never more than $500 in a month. Can't imagine what else I could put on that card that is worth anything to me so a $2000 limit is fine, I just want $6000 for "prybar" purposes.
