I was approved for a BCE with a $10k SL. I have two other cards at or slightly above $10k and two cards around $5k. This is my only AmEx.
When my 61 days comes up, will asking for $30k prompt them to verify income? A tax return transcript will look low because I got a ~20% salary increase July 1st of this year. I could prove income via pay stubs, but it doesn't sound like that's the way they do it. So, I'd like to avoid hitting that threshold.

If it gets triggered, just hit the back button and lower your request until the POI is gone..
I've seen may people do this with success.
Good Luck on your CLI.
I am curious about something. I have a BCE, my longest card with them. I recently got the ED in June, they both have the same CL ATM.
My 6 mo since last CLI is coming up in October and was wondering if I should request a CLI on the BCE or the ED. Whether it matters which card it's on, a seasoned one or the new one? Would they be more inclined to give the 3X CLI on the BCE rather than the ED?

Nope, it won't. I went from the same $10k SL to $30k via 3X CLI at Day 64. No IV needed. If you go back a couple of pages you can see my BCE growth from the $10k SL to $50k today without ever providing IV.
So, apparently I can't add and was a month early for my six month CLI. It was declined obviously. I called in not realizing and they told me I had another month to go. Will this harm my chances next month when doing it again? Thanks!

Nope. Requesting a CLI early does not request the clock. I did similar back in the month of May. I requested a few weeks early and was declined. After finding out my actual last cli I waited a few more weeks, requested it again, and was approved for the limit increase.
Thank you so much! I was afraid I'd really goofed and shot myself in the foot with them. Whew!!
This 3X CLI maybe I am not understanding and curious about this. When I first got the account open blue cash. They started me with $1k. Since then I have had 2 increases I have requested. One for $3k and $6k. Tonight I am do for another 3X increase. Should I shoot for the stars and try for $18k? Or am I suppose to be really going for $9k instead? If that is right and they go by the amount the account was first opened with at $1k. So, each 3X CLI is at $3k yes?
Go for the 18k! But, make sure it has been 181days since your last CLI

I went for $18k and they countered with $12k instead. I am cool with that and took it. AMEX has been by far the most generous for CLI's out of all the cards I have ever had.
