Im not sure if AMEX did a hardpull one me or not, but I got the denial letter, I applied for CLI 3 days after I got my card. Reasons stated were too many inquiries, short length of revolving credit history, and something else which I forget. It also stated my scored on the back of the sheet, which is why I'm assuming they did a hard pull?
And why is it that every freakin Chase/AMEX card I apply for is pulling my Experian. No one has touched my Equifax or TU reports which have 0 inquiries!!

nah. they didnt HP you 2nd time. Amex likes to use experian. Its just what they do. How many inqs do you have and what are your three 08 scores (or if you dontknow at least the one they gave you)

I'm not sure what 08 scores means, but I have around 14 inq's on EX and the score they gave me was 713.
What is an 08 score, and where can I get it? Thank you!
08 Score refers to your Fico 08 score. In this case we are talking about your Eperian Fico 08 score because that's what Anerican a Express uses. You can get that score here at MyFico or at Experian.com

Thank you very much, I purchased my score from Experian, it is 714, I have 14 inquiries, 5 of which should drop off by december. I didn't check the other to credit bureaus. The only reason I tried the CLI was because my instant approval for the BCE was $10k, my experian score of 714 is after that fact....any recomendation as to what companies pull TU or EX so I can apply for a few of those cards and let EX chill out for a bit? Thanks again for your help!
hello all,
i hitting my second 3x cli on 181th day, coming july 10th.
last month, i got some BT spread across 3 cards 7.5k. i have utilised more than 90%($4300 used out of $4800 CL) on citi simplicity card and 30%-50% util on Amex ED($2500 out of $5kCL ) and discover IT($1.5k out of 6.5K CL) cards for the BT.
Though the overall util on all my credit cards is close to 10%.
My Credit karma score dipped very low from 697 to 630's showing the TU and EQ reports as Poor. Whereas the TU fico from barclays says 711. I am yet to get free updated score from EQ fico and EX fico from CITI and First national.
Is this the right time to ask the 3xCLIi from Amex?

Without knowing your Fico arxoerian score it's hard to know for sure but I'd say just go ahead and try. If you get declined you can try again in 90 days.

A lot of companies pull TU and EQ but to get ones that pull only those is difficult. Synchrony and Barclays typically pull only TU. Outside of that it's difficult to limit the pulls as most companies now seem to pull EX.

Hello I just got approved for the American express everyday card I had to show proof of income which is 60,000 with a check stub and they approve me for 5,000 do you think it's safe to try the 3xcli after I activate credit card.
Welcome to MyFico and congrats on the approval.. Yes, try it when you activate the card. The 60 day is no longer set in stone.
