My income is low, but it's my 61st day and I Did the 3x from 2k - 6k. Was counter offered at 3.4k . Happy!

I have a question regarding Amex 3x CLI. I hope someone can share light on it...

I opened my first Amex card in Dec 12. that time i did not know anything about CLI. So after learing about it here in April 13, i applied and i got approved for 3X CLI on my BCP card.  So now i need to wait for 6 months before i can replay for CLI on BCP.

So far it is all clear

But I am planning to apply for Costco Amex or SPG card now. So if i apply for Costco or SPG today in June 2013 and if i get approved for it..

THAN does that reset my clock on BCP too??  and i can or can not apply again for 3X CLI on my BCP????

Do i have to wait for 6 months from Costco Amex approval or I can just request it again after 6 month since first 3X CLI of my BCP..

I hope my question is making sense.

The clock doesn't get reset for your BCP. You can still apply 181 days past your last BCP CLI. What you cannot do is apply for Costco Amex/SPG  CLI after 61 days of its opening as that would fall under the 6 month rule for all cards.

If you received your BCP CLI on April 13, then the first date eligible for CLI on any card is October 11 according to the date calculator.

It was time to update the guide based on recent discussions. I have updated the sticky and since the single post limit of 20,000 characters was reached, I will be maintaining just the sticky.

06/23/2013: All changes since last update marked in RED

• Added method to check Amex softs in official EX report
• Added time and date calculator
• Added verbiage to 7-10 message section to reflect recent experiences.
• Modified CLI > 3X point in generic CLI guidelines.
• Modified verbiage for moving credit limits to reflect 13 statement cycles for donor account only. Added links on how to move credit limits and restriction clause to move limits between personal and business cards.

I pulled the trigger on my CLI request. I asked to go from $3.5k to $10k which is a little less than 3x and they countered with $4,400. So they increased it by $900. I guess it's not terrible and when I get higher income I can try again.

DH was just approved the Amex Costco card @ $17,900 CL.  Can he still request a 3x CLI at 61 days?  He can't imagine requesting such a high increase.
