Congratulations! Never a bad idea to not rush it! But it couldn’t hurt, showing American Express another six months of history could definitely get you to 30K with that income, especially if they would have given it your recent increase. Wait 6 Months and ask for the 30K, back down if they IV. 😊😊

Oh lord DXB...so in 6 months we go thru this again..both of us! lol 3 yrs ago i never thought id see a credit card again

After the intial 60 days 3x, has anybody had any luck with a CLI before 180 days or is it set in stone 180? I had my initial 3x 60 days then another 3x after 180, April 5th will be 60 days after the last CLI

Amex will only grant a customer iniated CLI every 181 days.

Huh? this entire thread is all about the 61 day CLI after opening a new card? From what I've read people are successfully getting the 3xCLI after 61 days after opening - then the 181 day process applies.

Yes. 61 days from a new account. 181 days after any CLI.

[It may be possible to get a CLI on your SL on a second (or 3rd, etc.) account when you get the card (or see it online?) if you have history with Amex and past 181 days. Something I’ll be testing, I saw one person in this thread who’s done that]

Thanks for the reply, that sucks because my SL was only 1k so this has been kind of a waste of time...so what you are saying above is to open a 2nd account and 3x CLI right away given that it's been 180 days since the last CLI? My amex prg is my oldest card though I dont use it anymore and I had the green card before that, I did open the ED right after the BCE following somebodys advice hoping I would get a better SL to build on but got the same 1k and so I closed it, same HP was used, so if what you are saying above plays out then that could be a possibility
