I want to be sure to maximize my chances of a 3x CLI on my Amex Everyday card $6k--->$18k. Any tips? or is it guaranteed just as long as I just use it every month and pay on time?
Nothing is guaranteed, especially in matters of credit.
Just put as much as you can through it and PIF.
I barely use mine and just received my second CLI of 3X limit.

So something scary happened to me! I did my usual 3X CLI and i got hit with the Income Verification! Normally I would be fine with it but not this year for my income really fluctuates (I'm employed + freelancing gig). So I tried again by pressing the "I'll do this later" (I paraphrased it. I forgot) button, tried a much lower amount and boom, got an increase! I think I have maxed out my overall CL with AMEX so my CLI journey stops here. Good luck folks

Congrats! The same thing just happend to me 5 minutes ago Lowered my amount and it was instantly approved.
what was the credit you requested first ?
thanks
Just an update on my request.
Went ahead with a request on my almost 90 day old cash magnet and recieved a 7-10 msg. Called in and rep told me my request was denied due to being close to or at maximum expousure with them. Along with a host of various other reasons related to my credit report. Was around 70k with them before the request so I did find this interesting. So it looks like I have finaly hit a wall with Amex, at least for the time being. If I don't recieve another penny from them that would be completely fine by me as they have treated me very well over the years. And besides, how many lenders out there will allow you multiple sp approvals and 5 plus credit cards these days?

Here's some background. My exposure when I tried the my first CLI was at $32.9k at the time and, I have totally forgotten about the $35k overall exposure rule. I asked my BCP to be raised from $8k (was $12.9k, transferred the $4.9k to my DC earlier that day) to $24k, and got the first 4506-T message. I lowered my request to $16k and I got a 2nd 4506-T message. Then I decided to just raise it by $4k, which got approved.
This clearly lines up to the "$35k exposure" before AMEX will start to ask for 4506-T. I'm now at $36.9k overall CL with AMEX. I also just got 2 mailed 4506-T form which I'll just ignore.
