Debating what amount to ask for, knowing even asking for a 2x CLI will likely need verification (Which I have no issue doing) however would rather do the less intrusive amount, like maybe $35k?
About a year ago, I was in a similar situation. I was at 16.5k at the time and my 3x would have been 49.5k. From what I gathered I could ask for the full 3x and back out if I was prompted the 4506-T and try again with a lower amount. To my surprise, I went in full with 49.5k and was countered with 42.3k right away. Six months ago I was given another 2.7k to bring me up to 45k. I cannot remember what I asked for though. Perhaps they have tweaked their system some in recent years?
This go around I asked for 60k thinking I would be prompted with 4506-T but was given the "7 - 10 day" message yesterday morning. I have yet to hear back with my results but I will update once I do.
Good luck in your CLI Cred4All.
Perhaps you're at your max exposure with them, thus no need for IV?
Or maybe it hasn't quite been 181 since the last CLI.
@ZackAttack wrote:So if I am reading this right, if I do get denied on the 61st day for a CLI, would I need to wait 6 months or 90 days before trying another stab at Amex, right???
90 days after your "legitimate" cli denial (meaning you have satisfied the 61 day new card and 181 day account wide cli wait periods) or 181 days between cli approvals.

Exellent info / data SChema thanks for that! Yea, figured I'll go in a bit on the high side, low 40's perhaps, if needbe back it down from there. Will see and update with tomorrows results. Let us know what you hear on that 7-10 message!
I had a cli from AMEX earlier this year on my BCE card. In June, I was approved for the AMEX Delta Platinum.
How soon would I be able to request a cli on the Delta Platinum? Would I be able to request it 181 days after the previous cli on the BCE or I
need to wait 6 months from when I received the Delta Platinum?
Thanks
Going against the data points of IV at $35k (Likely to pretty high usage) I requested for my $27k Aspire to jump to $45k, which was approved. Phew! Posted in approvals as well.
Original Approval Limit: $9k
91 day 3x CLI approved to: $27k
181 day 18k CLI today approved to $45k

Nicely done! Question: are they known to come back at a later date and request IV, under guise of account audit or some such?

Cred4All, very nice! It worked out very similarly to my past experience. I am however still waiting for the details on my "7 - 10 day" message. Fingerscrossed!
