The waiting for the Chase marriott thread

Since there is such a delay in approvals for chase marriott I thought I would start a thread to see who else is waiting. I applied on 3/5/16 for the marriott card and as of tonight I am still on the thirty day message, which isn't shocking. Anyone else waiting for a decision?

Well you got an instant approval, so that explains the quick result. Also, I bet there are a lot more marriott applications pending due to the higher signup combined with the upcoming anticipated 5/24 changes.

Re: The waiting for the Chase marriott thread

I had to wait 13 days for my pending Amazon to finally be approved. It happens.

Re: The waiting for the Chase marriott thread

OP - just a data point regarding my Marriott application.  I had posted a similar update on -Cal-'s thread earlier as well.

I submitted my application on 2/18 and just found out today (30 days later) that it was finally approved (checked the status line).  My application had the Ritz Rewards # included as well.  So, as Irish mentioned on a separate thread, it appears they are backlogged.  I did not call for verification, nor lending as usual - just the status line 4x in the entire 30-day period.

Congrats FinStar on your approval.  Was yours the 80K offer?   Marriott and United are the only 2 other Chase cards I want but I'm hesitant to apply for anymore right now because I want the Amex SPG.

Re: The waiting for the Chase marriott thread

Well I apped for 6 cards in one day on the 4th of this month and the Marriott was the last one of the apped for. Well a few days later I got denied but I had a ink plus app pending so I waited till I got approved for the ink plus to call and recon which I got approved for the Ink plus on Wed. Once I reconed One Thursday I got approved and the card is on its way. So in all it took almost 2 weeks for me.

Also Irish I got the SPG business card the other day to.

Hey Irish! Thank you sir.  Yes, it was the 80K+7.5K (AU) offer that started to float around mid-February (it's also on the Chase website now - who knew!).   I had pondered on SPG as well, but my arm and fingers went in a different direction with Marriott instead Smiley Tongue

I can always entertain SPG down the road of course.  Now, even though nothing is definite for sure with Chase in the coming months, I decided to go through with it just as an abundance of caution + the high bonus of couse. So, Ink will have to wait (I was torn LOL).

Which United card were you aiming for... Explorer or Club?  The 50K on Explorer is a good offer, that's the one I received a couple years back with the AU bonus.
