Re: The waiting for the Chase marriott thread

I'm right there with you all but with the Ritz card.  Applied on 4/6 and day one got 2 week message on phone line and ever since than have gotten the 30 day message.  I tried calling the verification line but they want to transfer me to a ":ritz Carlton" representative.  I just hang up before the transfer just I case it's lending.  Really curious why some get approved quickly and some take forever.  Wonder if it has to keep going up the ladder for approval.

UPDATE: Day 18 still hangin' in the waiting room. No approval, denial or phone call for verification. Everything seems to be on track with others experience.

Cheers!

Update to the last update....Day 21.......Received an email from Chase today that said.........

Your new Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card is on its way.

It has the last 4 digits of the card number and a bunch of card benefit info.  It also directs me to the  ----Enroll in Chase OnlineSM to manage your account 24/7 but will need to have my card to do that apparently.  I don't have any idea what my limit is yet.

They did not call me at all but that's fine with me.  I'm still in the rebuilding phase so even if its a low limit, this is a great addition to my Amex and Cap 1 cards.  Hopefully I have a future with Chase after my 24/7 stuff ages away.

Thanks for all the info in this thread.  I hope sharing my experience helps others who are waiting too.  I'll post an updated update when I receive the card with the limit.  Cheers, Sail

Final update Day 30ish  Received the card in the mail today with a $5k limit.  While it may be the minimum, I'm quite pleased as it's my highest starting limit since embarking on my rebuild in November/December.  Obviously the 5/24 rule did not factor into this particular card.  It says Marriott Rewards Visa Signature on the front and has the Chase logo on the back.

Thanks for all the wisdom shared and encouragement along the way.  It was worth the wait.  Now I'm going to pay my cell phone bill and take the $100 statement credit for my first purchase!
