This is my 3rd time trying for Discover.

I tried yesterday with a 682 EQ and was denied because of the BK13 still showing. I called 2 different recon numbers and both said they can't approve me for anything with the BK still showing. I told her it's from 2009 and was discharged in 2013 but hasn't fell off yet.  I see guys on here that get approved with BK still showing but for some reason it looks like I will have to wait til Aug/2016 before I can get with Discover.. I even asked about a secured card and she said they don't offer a secured card..

Anyone have any other ideas besides waiting.

Check the Chase Pre Qualify site, and see if you get a pre approval offer. They are pretty solid, also try Citibank

my friend do a dispute and get that taken care of! no need to still being affected by something that should have fallen off already!

My chapter 13 is scheduled to fall off in 7yrs which will be Aug/2016.

No I've never even had a credit card before I applied for my 1st one Aug-2014..

I can't figure them out either..  The first guy even pulled my EX which is 660 and denied because of BK13 reporting still.

Discover is a funny CCC.  It seems like two people with the exact same credit profile can apply and one will be approved and the other denied.

Weird that she said they don't offer a secured, though.  They do but it's not something you can apply for by itself and apparently, from everything I've heard, it can only be offered as a counter by the computer (so you can't ask for a recon for it).  YMMV though because again, Discover is funny like that.
