Hey All,
Been a bit since I've posted. Busy, busy, busy. So, I've been wanting the discover miles card. I also am now considering switching my netflix membership to an amazon prime membership and using their video service, plus start ordering all my dog food and numerous things I'll continue to need for me dog and brand new puppy. The store I go to is just getting too expensive.
So, I haven't apped for a card since April of 2016. I was approved for 5 cards last year, closed one.. a barclaycard. I have 5 open lines.
Chase freedom: 0/3500
Chase freedom unlimited: 1730/4000. Just made payment, but that's is what reported.
Boa cash rewards: 530/6700
CU card: 0/5000
All those open 2016
Les schwab acct: 7 years? Had car work and it just stayed open.
Closed acct: 8yr boa card
Barclaycard maybe mos
No cc late payments ever
Installments:
Student loans: 1 open 7 yr or so good payments
One closed. Same history. New company took it over
One closed 3.5 yr car loan.
One open car loan. Opened in sept.
Inquiries : I think 5 or under for each cra. Some for cc apps, increase, car loan, and apt app.
I have 2 med collections from 2012, but I had a 3rd that just fell off my ex and tu report. I don't have the updated scores yet.
Last scores I have are:
Ex: 686
Tu: 696
Eq: 673
Should I wait another month to let cards pay off and report, or is utl ok right now? I have lots of vet visits coming up and would like to use the discover miles card for the 0 apr and 3% back. When I use their report thing, it somewhat gives me a preapproval for the IT. Arp range 13 something to 16 something. I considered amex, they've sent me a lot lately and I seem to prequal for all the cards, but really want discover.
I also have an offer for the csp, which is my dream card. But I can't do the 4k spend right now. Vet is a lot right now, but not that much. I don't haveuch travel coming up right now, so will probably wait a year on it. By that time, be under 5/24 anyway.
So experts, what do you think? Is waiting a month going to help that much? I expect score to go up a bit, but don't know. Are these scores good enough?
