To apply for an AMEX or not - odd situation

My rebuild has been simply amazing. I have an AMEX GOLD Charge card that I have been an AU on since 2000. I am now in a sweet position to remove myself as the AU. I would like to try for an AMEX while I'm still an AU and not after I remove myself. Any opinions ?

What is your current Experian score? 640 might be a little low?

If it is 640, for me I would not do it. But every situation is different.

They might give you a low limit, but I think you have a chance. Good luck if you go for it!

Being an AU does not sway them either way because you were never responsible for paying the bill, in their eyes anyways.

Agree, no shot of being approved with less than a year old BK
