Re: Too Many Recent Inquires, I only Have One, **bleep**

All are on Experian. I have Discover $31K limit, no balance. Citi $26.3K , no balance, BOA $15K no balance, Chase $13.3K and the only card with a whopping $138 balance. I also have a Amex Zinc card (the white one lol) but that is a charge card and it shows as just being on my reports but with no limit figures because there is none. No balance there also. I have a Edward Jones business credit card with a 25K limit and a 6K balance, that is where I want the balance transfer. BTW this card as with all business credit cards does not show on my credit report.  I have 0 collections , 0 judgements 0 late payments on my history, in other words perfect. I have had 3 $40K car loans in the past 10 years all paid perfectly every month and on time and all were paid off early. I have no mortgage on my history because I never owned a house. My newest card is 4 years old, my oldest is 13. There you go my life story. lol Thanks.

Several years ago I was turned down for a card  and had 0 balances. I spoke with an analyst and even though it sounds counterintuitive the rationale was you have all this available credit so why do you need more?
Explained for a balanced transfer and she said when a balance shows apply again. Never did and no regrets.

I have a 810 score with a perfect credit report. I have 5 credit cards with a long history and no balances. I have one inquirery from last week in the last year. I applied for a Citi card and was turned down for too many recent inquiries. So I just applied to BOA and was turned down also. I don't have the reason yet. I have never been turned down for a card in my life or a car loan and nothing in my report has changed either. What is going on here.

If you can't get in with Navy, anyone can join Penfed and they are similar in terms of offering high limits.   Also, when you apply with them, you can apply for two-plus cards using the same HP.   I would try Penfed and go for two cards.    Also I recently opened a Wells Fargo Reflect for my spouse.   They are offering 21 month balance transfers with a 3% initial BT fee.   It's actually an 18-month 0 interest offer, but if you make all your payments on time, they will give you another 3 months at 0% with no more fee.

You might have to break this up to pay that $25K -- you know, you get two $10Ks and a $5K or whatever and do three BT's.

Since I've started typing, I can't see the thread and I can't remember if you have a Discover card.   They have historically offered decent BT cards and if you have one of their cards, you can get a second one -- I think it just has to be one year past the first card's opening (double check on this, I'm going on memory).

I was going to suggest PenFed CU, they almost never ask POI.

They pull Equifax.

May the odds be in your favor, should you decide to procede.

The other thought, is to call Discover and ask about a balance transfer offer?

It might be worth a shot in the dark.

Yes I have Discover and are on very good terms with them, getting a balance transfer is no problem, but a 4%fee. Secondly I don't owe $25K on that business card, like I said I owe $6K that will go to 20% on 8/16 if I don't pay it off. All this nonesense started last week when I went to FCU because they were the only one of four that had a 0% balance transfer fee card that would apply to me. When that went south I went to the longest cards at 21 months 0% for balance transfers at a 3% fee ( Citi and BOA). Now that those backfired I am getting hesitant to apply for another card.

I would wait for the decline letter before moving forward.  Your HP's aren't going anywhere.

UPDATE!

So I got the BOA letter stating they could not verify Social Security number and they want POI. So that's out. So I just applied to Wells Fargo for the Reflect Card and was instantly approved for $15K. They also use Experian so that's 4 hits in the last week, all on Experian. Finally a end to all this madness.
