I have a 810 score with a perfect credit report. I have 5 credit cards with a long history and no balances. I have one inquirery from last week in the last year. I applied for a Citi card and was turned down for too many recent inquiries. So I just applied to BOA and was turned down also. I don't have the reason yet. I have never been turned down for a card in my life or a car loan and nothing in my report has changed either. What is going on here.

pretty sure citi doesn't like to be included in app-sprees, they instant decline for any relatively recent inquires, was your last inquiry inside of 7 days?
BoA is also hit or miss, especially without a prior relationship
hopefully you can recon and get approvals
Yep citi is inquiry/new account sensitive. It is either one every 3 or 6 months not sure of current rules they are enforcing.. so likely have to wait one of those periods before trying again. Also 800's mean nothing I have well into 800's and been turned down many times more-so in the last few years as economy overall is not in great shape especially the banking industry. Honestly alot of lenders rather approve also at say a 700 as they know one is likely to pay more interest etc. Just my take on last few sentences.
Yes my latest inquirey was within 7 days to a credit union. Funny thing though is I have Citi card they just last week raised my limit to $26,300, I also have a BOA card with a limit of $15K , neither card has a balance.
Do you guys know of any cards that might not look at any recent inquires? I need a balance transfer to a business credit (this card does not show in my credit report) that it's promo rate is expiring in a month. I now have 3 inquiries in the last week all to no avail. My first one to the credit union was approved instantly for $30K but I can't prove my income so they told me no POI, no card. I don't want to keep applying if I am in that too many inquiries cycle now.

Are you eligible for Navy Federal Credit Union membership?
They are not inquiry sensitive.
I have dealt with 3 credit unions in my life and in my other post I just mentioned one of them. I was all instantly approved and then was hit with the by the way we need your proof of income. I can't show income.
Not Eligble.

@Ron93, What credit bureaus are your 3 inquiries on?
Also how many cards are reporting balances and how high is your utilization? also how many new cards in 6 & 12 months?
We might be able to give you a pointer or two .. if we knew a little more of what your profile looked like?
