Re: Too soon for CSP??

I got the Chase Freedom.  Used it once for a $100 purchase at Williams-Sonoma.  The statement didn't even cut and I then got the pre-approval for the CSP.  Instant approval.  Go for it!

Got for it!  It's a great card to have!  I must wait 19 months to apply for one.  Too many inq's & new accts in past 2 yrs.

Re: Too soon for CSP??

I applied for two Chase cards about 2 weeks apart and got both with 1 EX HP. I always get nervous apping back to back apps, especially with a new lender, one I have no history with. So I appd Chase Slate and was instantly approved 5500.CL. My highest to date, and I received 1 EX HP. Two weeks later I decide to go for CSP. I app, and get the "your application is being reviewed blah, blah, blah". I check Chase status line for 10 day's straight. Same message everyday : "you have 2 applications over the past 30 day's. Blah, blah, blah you'll hear from us within two weeks". So I finally called Chase customer service. Girl asks a few specific identity questions from my CR, puts me on hold, and comes back and says "Congrat's. You've been approved. 15K CL". Almost 300% more than my next highest CL, the Slate they gave me now 3.5 week's earlier. Best part: no additional HP. I kept waiting for it. Nothing. Got both 3.5 week's apart with 1 EX HP.
So I guess it all depends but I definitely did not do back to back apps, and I definitely only received 1 HP.

I remember talking to you about 2 weeks ago in regards to apping for the CSP. You were like that devil on my shoulder whispering in my ear and eggin me on lol. I finally took the plunge. I did get another HP from TU but nothing from EQ. I am willing to bet I took a HP on EX as well. When I got my Freedom in mid June they double pulled (TU and EX).

Mine or his? I dont have a FICO yet. My CK score is at 727 for TU and 730 for EX. But again, we all know those scores cant be truly trusted. I would love to know what score FICO will have for me when I hit that 6 months.
