I keep finding different answers on this, so I am hoping there are some who have done this in the last 6 mo or so and can answer.

If you get the pop up... is it a HP or not? Some say yes some no. Hoping this is a thing where the policy changes and not a YMMV thing. I hate not knowing.

I have wanted this card for a while now. I go to Vegas once a year and even without a lot of use on the card it comes with some nice freebies.

The negative on it is that it is a Commenity Card. I don’t have any Commenity, Synch, or Barclays because of the way they have screwed so many people.

I’m open for advice or opinions on the card as well-
Do you like it? Regret getting it? Never use it? Always use it? Etc.

The CP Database seems all over the place with SL as well. That worried me. I see some with 600 scores getting 5 digit limits and some with mid 700’s getting 2k. Wondering if the pre-approvals/pop up Helps with that.

One last questions-are the CLIs in this card the same as Commenity store cards? Soft pulls, one every couple months or so after the first 6 months? Easy to grow?

It’s actually harder to do this credit stuff once yOh have good scores and reports. I have been getting rid of all store cards and being picky with what cards I apply for, versus before it was if I could get it I would. I’d rather have less number and use them all and reap the rewards than have sock drawer cards. That being said I could use some more available credit in case I ever get to where I need to carry a a balance. Right now I am always at 0-1% utilization but if I ever had to put 10k on a a card for a few months my score would drop dramatically with only 70k in limits.

Most Comenity Visa and MasterCards are HP now when I got this card I got the pop up accepted HP right after. U can get a cli on the card 4 months + 1 day like clockwork.

I think the TR has faded around here mostly.  Comenity in general along with the others you listed should be avoided unless you have a true use and need for a particular card with them since you're rolling the dice in so many ways by accepting one.

I recall seeing some shutdown threads on it but, recent activity doesn't seem to be too much unlike what it used to be.

As to the whole 10K/70K thing..... If you were to carry a balance like that it wouldn't hurt that much on scoring since it would show your lenders you ability to handle larger non-installment balances.  You might even go to pull the handle on CLI's and hit a jackpot!
