Total Rewards shopping cart trick.

Any tricks to get the Total Rewards shopping cart trick to work? I'm normally on my phone so I don't know if that plays a part in it. I did get Victoria Secret to work on my phone. Thanks. :-)

Well for starters...Comenity Visa's arent BK friendly in general, and if you can get it with a BK...its usually a few more years out, and scores 690 bare min-710+. and they pull EQ. So before even thinking about SCT, id make sure my FICO scores are there first. Even I have been denied for their majors, and I have a very LONG history with Comeniy dating back to 2000, pre and post BK. Smiley Wink

Agree with Pizza.  Typically, any of their V/MC/D private label CCs won't provide you with any type of pre-approved pop-up (leat alone direct approval) if you still have a BK reflecting on your CRs.  Very rarely do individuals slip through the cracks with a cold app but it's usually after 7+ years post-BK.

Also, wondering... wasn't the OP done applying given the slew of recent approvals?  Maybe I missed something somewhere.

Re: Total Rewards shopping cart trick.

Idk if there is a "trick" to this one....I can barely log into my account without it Popping up immediatly after I log in. I wish I wasn't in the garden or I'd pull the trigger....I'd rather have this one instead of the SPG that I have Smiley Sad

TBH, the points/rewards structure isn't really worth it for this card, but maybe for some indiviuduals may find it useful.  Besides, even if you get the pop-up, there's the likelyhood that it will be a HP.  Lots of folks have reported that outcome, YEMV.

Oh it was a HP against Experian for me with pop-up.. I would say 99% chance you would get one with this card..  I personally don't find it a very useful card and rather have the AKC card or whatever, but have this card now and will just let it continue to grow.  Currently at 10.5k CL which certainly isn't my highest nor my lowest.

Re: Total Rewards shopping cart trick.

Gotcha....Neither this one nor the Sportsman's have any benefits that I could Really use. At the time I got that card I was intrigued about snagging a Visa without a HP....since, I've learned that you should only app for cards that would benefit you. Lesson Learned.

Re: Total Rewards shopping cart trick.

Thanks for the info about the BK. And to answer your question about recent approvals, I've only had 3 approvals in the last 4 months. Venture, Amazon, and WSECU. Closed Victoria's Secret last month so now I have 8 cards total. Although I have had a "slew" of CLI this month. 5 from Synchrony, 1 from Barclay, 1 from Comenity that I posted about. :-)

Re: Total Rewards shopping cart trick.

I didn't realize that Comenity bank wasn't BK friendly for their Visas. Good to know. I wouldn't have done a cold app any way, just thought it would be a nice addition when taking trips to Vegas. Especially since the points don't expire.

Re: Total Rewards shopping cart trick.

I have a Sportsman's Guide with a 1.2 year old BK. I also had popups for Red Roof and Sam Good, but did not get those. I think these three have lower requirements than the Total Rewards, Fuel Rewards and Virgin, as I didn't get popups from them.
