Wow i wish they would of tried to pull TU for my mom. The only GE accounts (or Synchrony) is Walmart and Amazon and both puller TU in October. We verified they tried to pull EX and she got a denial letter in her email that said Experian. I don't know what's going on

Why are her reports on ice?

That seems like a pretty sophisticated strategy, recommended only for those who are closely tracking their credit reports and know how to "unfreeze" them, and when unfreezing would be necessary or appropriate?

She has some problems with my sister trying to apply for some things in her name and not telling her till after she applied online. My mom told her to stop but I told her also about freezing her reports and said she wanted to do that as a precaution. She just filed BK about 18 months ago. I have been helping her with rebuilding because she clueless about credit. so I try to help as much as she lets me. I honestly thought it would be a straight TU pull and we unfroze her TU report for the app but they decided gotry and pull EX. They just straight out declined her app. She can unfreeze EX and apply again but I'm not sure if she cares anymore. Like I said she is clueless about credit and I have been helping both my dad and mom rebuild as I rebuild myself!
