I got approved for capital one. First card since BK. I just tried for a second card with misson lane and got denied cause Unable to verify identity. Is there a phone number i can call ?? the number i called would not let me talk to a person. I know this card sucks but i was trying get a second card to garden and let my credit build. Now i got a hard pull and no card. Sucks ![]()
And according to credit karma i had excellent odds at approval. Since i burnt all others in BK i figured id use it to help build my credit.
Mission Lane can actually be a decent rebuilder card depending on which one you end up with, I would not discount them
before you put in some real effort on the recon. I see a couple of numbers to try:
800 456 6870 (this one may be more strictly IVR type setup)
855 570 3732 (their main customer support number)
I would try different options until you are routed to the correct department for ID verification. If you wanted the card enough to complete the application and agree to the HP, I would definitely follow up with the rest of the process. Good luck, and keep us posted on the situation as it may help others that are in the same boat as you.

Mission lane doesn't suck, they're just bare ones. They were actually a very popular rebuild option when it was LendUp. A basic card with a basic interface. Consistent increases every year. Low AF if you happen to get one with it. No hidden fees or completely outrageous APRs. It's an ideal rebuilder card.

I would definitely not use CK as a reliability tool to determine the outcome or odds of any approval. CK is a monetized site and they tend to peddle a variety of CC, loan and other products.
Don't give-up just yet . . . rebuilding credit is really a full-time job and totally time consuming. I wouldn't put a lot of confidence in Credit Karma's information as my DH depended on their information several times and was disappointed each time. I have never used Credit Karma but based on internet research, their credit scores are far less that the actual CRAs' scores. Wishing you the best.
NEVER go by CK's approvals odds. They're pure marketing.
I would try maybe Discover prequalify, a local CU, or maybe something like Open Sky.

Let me reword that. I don't mean misson lanes sucks. I meant the card I applied for does cause it doesn't offer anything and has a $59 annual fee. At this moment id be glad to have it and pay the fee so I can have a second credit line. I think it be a good card to rebuild with.

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind. I just want to get a second card and i'll be done.
