so did you end up apping for penfed following your approval with Nasa FCU? If so, how far apart were the apps?

I apped for Penfed first. Actually you're better off doing it the other way around. NASA is a Soft pull on EX for most. Penfed pulls EQ. So at the present time, one hand has no idea what the other is doing. Plus it will be a few days before NASA reports to the CB's. They report very fast!
Yeah, I'm interested in getting in with PenFed too now, but I'd hate to do something that Jeopardizes my current situation with Nasa FCU - since I'm very pleased with my starting limit. But, my goal is to maximize my available credit, and keep my util % down - and PenFed seems to be fairly generous with their customers...
I'm considering apping for them as well then hitting the garden for a while.

i would wait a few months then go for penfed, but thats only because they were super skiddish about all my new accounts (nasa)
Just to update - I spoke with Nasa and they were going to deny my Ploc. I ended up getting it worked out to where they gave me 15k on a Ploc but reduced my CC to 10k - essentially just moved the money around.
So i got the ploc for 15k at 8.25%.
I ended up signing up with Penfed and figured I'd might as well app for the card, and got the promise for 6k. Experian is my highest score, EQ is lower so it was expected to get a lower approval.
