Re: Trying to get CSP

Also, credit karma will update reports (tu and eq) weekly! Its free so you can't lose. Dont pay attention to their scores (vantage) but its a free way to monitor reports for utilization changes.

Re: Trying to get CSP

Thanks for the tip on the Credit Karma reports, now I'm able to see information across all bureaus! It looks like my recent lates got taken off TU and EQ, so I don't have any late  payments in the last 25 months. Now I just have to watch for balances to update.

Thanks everyone for your insight!

Re: Trying to get CSP

Also, I decided to check Chase Pre-Qual offers site, every other time I've checked there has been no offers but now there's Freedom and Slate. Ideally I'd love to get the CSP and Freedom at the same time since points can be trasnferred from the Freedom to CSP. I'm itching to app but I know I still have to wait a little longer...

Re: Trying to get CSP

Like crna said, lose experian, cct is $15 a month, same except thing, except you get an Equifax and TU fico score and report 3x a month. It really is fantastic. Otherwise same exact thing as experian. Literally SAME. EXACT. THING. It would honestly be borderline foolish to not do it.

Re: Trying to get CSP

Okay so I got the 7-day for CCT and my EX and TU are still showing high balances on my Discover and Macy's card but EQ shows the payment on my Discover (still no activity on Macy's)

Scores as of right now are EX: 670 (32%util) TU: 680 (32%util) EQ: 681 (22%util)

[edit: CCT showing scores generated Sept. 18th, but on Experian.com it shows my score as generated today]

HOWEVER, I just checked Chase Pre-Qual offers site and saw this:

chase pre-qual

Before today I was only seeing Freedom and Slate. I just about jumped up and started to happy dance when I saw the Sapphire on there. So now there's the question of... do I still wait???

(also, does it make a difference if I click "respond now" or use a referral link?)

Re: Trying to get CSP

I'd say yes, still wait. Honestly it's a matter of a couple of weeks. These offers aren't 100% guaranteed. Plus you want to get the best starting limit and APR possible. If I would have checked my scores and waited 2-3 weeks to finish cleaning them up I would have higher starting limits than what I received. Chase isn't overly generous with CLIs so you want to start as high as you can.
